I've wondered if there are any repercussions for a school to

announce a move to a new conference today but say that move will be effective 7/1/25 or whenever the Big 12's GOR expire. If enough schools did it now would it expedite the realignment process or would the conference mates left behind start throwing lawsuits at the schools leaving and their new conference?
